Fido & Wine Season TWO!

Laura Ducharme and I  at Pawsway with Toronto Star reporter Jim Wilkes.

I’m (BEYOND) happy to announce that we are in production on season two of Fido & Wine with The Pet Network. This year, the series will air first online – which means those of you who can’t subscribe to The Pet Network will be able to check out my very original series. In each episode, host Laura Ducharme explores cool dog related activities/events/etc. and then with newfound inspiration, cooks something fabulous for Fido. I write, produce & direct the series, and natch, work with Laura on developing the recipes. I consider myself lucky to LOVE MY JOB. Our faithful crew, Wes Champion (editor and camera) of Dudefellas fame, and Tom Bellisario (Director of Photography) are joined this year by Production Manager Angela Jager (who has worked on Til Debt Do Us Part, Four Houses Canada, Battle of the Blades &…) and perhaps most importantly, has the most adorable beagle named Olive and loves baking her birthday cakes. Angela, we look forward to working with you and can’t wait for some fresh ideas. Beagle bites? Hound Hotcakes? Oh, the possibilities are endless, lol!

Laura and I also continue to co-pen our monthly column for On The Go magazine – a glossy number that’s distributed on our public transit here in Toronto – can be picked up at the GO train stations (of course) and TTC stations. We’re writing our October column now – SKUNKED – The Boys got sprayed (2 for the price of one) a couple of weeks ago and I’m still struggling to get the stank off of Hank. I have done the hydrogen peroxide/baking soda/dabledooyadishsoap three times. Laura swears that V8 works. If you have a home remedy or know of an amazing product, I’d love to hear about, it could be good to include in the column! Write a comment or email me at mydogsbreakfast@gmail.com.

Thanks and I’m working on a very special fall dog treat project that is taking a lot of time…you’ll see why soon.

Cheers,
Jen

  1. I am beyond excited to work with you guys this season… and just as excited to see the new fall recipe. Also… poor little stinkers. Olive has never been skunked, but she gets into her own type of trouble… we had to pull her out of a tree this weekend when squirrel-lust gave her super beagle climbing powers. Oh dear.

  2. I can’t wait to get started on this season! It’s going to pack way more bite than last. Get it… bite? Cause it’s a food show? Let this treat sink in. I did it again ;)

  3. Let’s get cooking! The fun has just begun. Season 2 is going to be a scrumptious journey. I have found an abundance of inspiration here in Paris.
